Shipping + Pick Up + Installation

There are a few options for receiving your goods from us and and having them installed, please read the information below before making your purchase.

Receiving Options:

  • Pick up from our workshop in VIC (with a discount to you!).
  • Free delivery to metro VIC/NSW locations via our own team, removalist, or traditional transport service.
  • All other states and some VIC/NSW regional locations - you will need to contact us to get you the best freight price possible.

Installation Options:

  • Self install or arrange your own handyman - with our DIY Instructions and over the phone support.
  • For VIC and NSW metro clients only, we can arrange installation with our trusted team.
  • For some VIC and NSW regional areas - we may be able to support installation. Depending on your location, we have some trusted regional installers.

Shipping Options:

For clients in our supported freight locations, Castle and Cubby use a removalist service or traditional transport service, depending on your location and the size of your order.

Arranging Your Own Freight:

You are welcome to arrange your own freight, we can provide the dimensions and cubic weight measurements so you can get a quote yourself. However, we do not recommend usual freight solutions for some of our items due to their large size and requirement for hand loading/unloading. We also charge a fee for handling which is based on the size of the product and the requirements of your shipping provider. This may include wrapping, palletising etc, labels and communication between us and your supplier.

When arranging your own freight we do not guarantee any of the goods and any damages caused in the freight process will not be covered by Castle and Cubby, however we will support you to replace goods at a fair cost.

Timely pick up is appreciated within 7 days of your notification of build completion. After that, we reserve the right to charge daily storage fees of $50.

Pick Up

Pick up is from our Melbourne workshop (details below) by prior arrangement. You will need a ute or trailer or van (or truck!) for cubby houses and many of the larger items, however smaller furniture items and our smallest kitchens can often be tetris'd into a car.

Timely pick up is appreciated within 7 days of your notification of build completion. After that, we reserve the right to charge daily storage fees of $50.

Check with us if you have any concerns - and remember, you cannot fit any of our cubbies into a car!

Local Delivery

We have free local delivery options available at checkout - enter your postcode to see whether this applies to you. Once you have entered your address the correct option will appear at checkout.

DIY Installation

All of our cubby houses are easy to DIY if you are handy and enjoy the process. You will simply need a power drill and a strong helper who doesn't mind heavy lifting. We have robust instructions to assist in making this process smooth and enjoyable for you, and we are available for troubleshooting over the phone should it come to that. Castle and Cubby Organised Installation - VIC/NSW Only

If DIY is not your vibe, VIC/NSW metro (and some regional) customers have the option of including installation when you add your cubby to cart. Once your cubby has arrived safely your installer will be despatched to complete the job! Our local Melbourne customers will have their cubbies delivered by their installer, if installation has been selected.

Please note: rates do not include possible surcharges for commercial venues, access issues, or union sites that require additional documentation and induction. Any extra charges will be discussed with you in our confirmation call.
